在《Stairs ＆ Stocks》中，由演算法生成的階梯與虛構的股市走勢圖彼此並置，藉此思考「進步」這一觀念及其循環往復的特質。 藝術家 Andreas Rau 現居挪威，以電腦為媒介，程式碼與演算法則是其主要創作材料。《Stairs ＆ Stocks》是一系列由程式碼即時生成的音像作品。每件作品皆持續運行，動態影像與聲響在即時演算中不斷變化，每次形成的組合都不盡相同。每隔一段固定時間，系列中的所有作品便會短暫同步，在節奏與動態上彼此對齊，隨後再度分離，各自運行。此次以雙螢幕同步裝置呈現，系列中的中的多件作品共同構築出持續展開、收合與變換的建築性空間。 In Stairs ＆ Stocks, algorithmically generated staircases are juxtaposed with fictional stock market graphics, reflecting on the idea of progress and its repetitive nature. Created by Andreas Rau, a Norway-based artist working with computers and code, Stairs ＆ Stocks is a series of audiovisual animations created live from code. Each piece, generative and continuously running, evolves in real time, producing new visual combinations and sound variations that never repeat exactly. At regular intervals, all the works in the series momentarily synchronize, coinciding in rhythm and movement before diverging again. Presented here as a dual-screen synchronized installation, multiple works from the series create architectural spaces that continually open, close and shift.
