以羅青如何詮釋中國筆墨與藝術史為主軸，呈現其跨越文學、歷史與當代藝術的創作思維。 羅青，1948 年生於山東青島，祖籍湖南湘潭，畢業於輔仁大學英文系、美國華盛頓州立大學比較文學研究所。曾任國立臺灣師範大學英語系、美術系及翻譯研究所教授，亦曾擔任中國語言文化中心主任、東大書局《滄海美術叢書》主編及明道大學藝文中心主任。身兼詩人、畫家、藝術評論家與學者，出版詩集、畫集、畫論等四十餘種，作品多次獲獎，並獲國內外重要美術館典藏。 羅青的創作以「文化中國」為核心，透過獨特的藝術語言，回應自鴉片戰爭以來中國社會由農業、工業至後工業時代的文化轉變，探討歷史、思想、美學與當代性的交會。他融合文學、書法、水墨與當代藝術觀念，在「畫史繪畫」中重構中國繪畫的觀看方式，並發展「鐵網皴法」、「印泥設色法」、「金箔拼貼法」等創新技法，持續展開古典與當代、東方與西方之間的深層對話。 羅青認為，評價一件作品，不應只看畫幅大小或題材，而應著重其思想深度、精神境界與藝術創造力。真正優秀的作品，即使只是小品，也能以豐富的意象、獨特的構圖與精妙的筆墨，展現宏大的氣象，引發觀者思考，映照時代精神。隨著科技發展，作品尺寸已不再是藝術價值的標準；唯有兼具思想內涵與藝術創新的創作，才能經得起時間考驗，展現藝術真正的生命力。 展期　　| 2026/8/8(六)～8/29(六) 開幕茶會| 2026/8/8(六)15:00 時間　　| 11:00-18:30（日、一公休） 地點　　| 99°藝術中心 地址　　| 112台北市北投區承德路七段286號-L樓 _______________________________________ Centered on Lo Ching’s interpretation of the Chinese brush-and-ink tradition and the history of Chinese art, this exhibition presents his creative vision that transcends literature, history, and contemporary art. Lo Ching was born in Qingdao, Shandong Province, in 1948, with ancestral roots in Xiangtan, Hunan. He received his B.A. in English from Fu Jen Catholic University and pursued graduate studies in Comparative Literature at Washington State University in the United States. He previously served as Professor in the Departments of English, Fine Arts, and the Graduate Institute of Translation and Interpretation at National Taiwan Normal University. He also held positions as Director of the Chinese Language and Culture Center, Chief Editor of the Canghai Fine Arts Series published by Tunghua Book Co., and Director of the Arts and Culture Center at Mingdao University. A poet, painter, art critic, and scholar, Lo has published more than forty volumes of poetry, painting collections, and writings on art. His works have received numerous awards and have been collected by major museums and institutions in Taiwan and abroad. Lo Ching’s artistic practice is centered on the concept of “Cultural China.” Through a distinctive visual language, he responds to the cultural transformations of Chinese society—from the agricultural era through industrialization to the post-industrial age—since the Opium War, while exploring the intersections of history, philosophy, aesthetics, and contemporaneity. Integrating literature, calligraphy, ink painting, and contemporary artistic concepts, he reconstructs the ways in which Chinese painting is viewed through his approach of “Painting the History of Painting.” He has also developed innovative techniques such as the “Iron-Net Texture Stroke,” the “Cinnabar Pigment Coloring Method,” and the “Gold Leaf Collage Technique,” fostering an ongoing dialogue between the classical and the contemporary, as well as between Eastern and Western artistic traditions. Lo Ching believes that a work of art should not be judged merely by its size or subject matter, but by the depth of its ideas, the breadth of its spiritual vision, and the originality of its artistic expression. Even a small-scale work, when truly exceptional, can convey a grand artistic vision through rich imagery, distinctive composition, and masterful brushwork, inspiring reflection while embodying the spirit of its age. As technological advances have rendered scale an increasingly irrelevant measure of artistic value, only works that unite profound intellectual content with genuine artistic innovation can withstand the test of time and reveal the enduring vitality of art.
